Who: The Dance Team
What: Other Studs: The Social Performance Event of the Season

Where: Alogon Gallery
Why: Because you’ve been waiting for this your whole life!

Who are these people?
The Dance Team is the current nom de guerre of an unruly group of Chicago based dancers, choreographers, actors, musicians and visual artists. We have joined forces in the interest of strengthening our individual efforts to create a new breed of social performance events. We see our work, not as self-contained entities, but components of the larger experience of attending a performance or exhibition. By emphasizing the collective experience, we aim to encourage curiosity and facilitate dialogue while showing everyone a good time.

What are they doing?
Other Studs will feature the work of Tess Dworman, Whitney Hubbard, Caitlin Marz, Steve May, Becky O’Connell and Zoe Schwartz. Physical installations, monologues, a video chariot and more than a little dance will utilize every available corner of the gallery and will be presented on a staggered schedule over the course of three hours. Guests can feel free to come and go as they please, choosing their own adventure as they navigate the changing landscape of the space with a drink in hand. Admission and ice cold PBR will be free of charge. You can dance if you want to.

WHO DONE IT!

my sis had a pretty good idea for a title..."other studs" i.e. studs terkel, chicago resident, best known for his oral histories/stories about regular joes

TESS AND CAITLINA AND STTEF all say "other studs" is okay. probably under The Dance Team name or something. any objections, holler within three days, because we're going to move on to phase 2: designing some shit. neat.
